"Hello...I was wondering if you could tell me how much an abortion would cost"

We recently received the above email message. Here is our reply:

"Thank you so much for emailing us here at New Hope.  I am thankful to be able to answer your question. It is a very serious and important subject and I hope you will consider very carefully the FULL cost having an abortion would have.  The cost of someone having an abortion is much higher than the dollar value it will cost. We have seen here at New Hope, time and time again, that the cost of abortion is a lifetime of regret, guilt, and grief over the loss of one's very own baby. I pray you will not make this choice but will seriously consider the wonderful alternatives there are to abortion. Do you live in or near Syracuse? If so, I would love to invite you to come in to New Hope for a free appointment, free pregnancy test, and for the opportunity to discuss this important decision with one of our peer counselors.  

One of the main purposes of New Hope is to help women make good choices regarding their pregnancies and then to help and support them throughout their pregnancy in any way we can. We would love to have the opportunity to do this for you if you would give us the chance.

Now, I realize you never specifically mentioned whether you are the one who is pregnant or if you are asking for someone else.
