You will be greeted by a client advocate and a nurse. First, we will do some paperwork, gathering basic information. Our nurses will also do a medical intake with you. Our team can inform you on all your options- abortion, adoption, and parenting. We can provide you with all the potential risks, procedures, and benefits of each option. We provide support, compassionate care, and information in a safe, judgment-free environment for every patient. Our nurses can also provide you with proper referrals for ongoing medical care depending on your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are always welcome on our unit. However, there may be some wait time as we can only see one patient on board at a time. To reduce wait time, please fill out (link) an appointment request form and select mobile ultrasound van as your preferred location.

Is there a cost?

All services offered on our mobile unit are free, just like our brick-and-mortar center.

Do you require insurance?

We do not require insurance information to receive services on our unit. Our nurses may ask you for your insurance information to provide proper medical referrals for you.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes! Anyone can come with you.

How will I receive my pregnancy test results?

You will receive your pregnancy test results during your appointment.

How do I get an ultrasound?

To qualify for a free ultrasound, you must have a positive pregnancy test on board our unit. The purpose of an ultrasound is to detect a fetal heartbeat, determine gestational age (how far along the pregnancy is), and detect the location of the pregnancy (pregnancies that develop outside of the uterus, known as ectopic pregnancies, can be life-threatening). You can also talk to our staff about your medical history, pregnancy concerns, and ask questions about the abortion pill or the various types of surgical abortions.

Do I need to bring anything for an appointment on the unit?

We just ask that you bring a photo ID or any form of identification with you.

If you have taken the first abortion pill and are having second thoughts, you may be able to reverse the effects. Please contact the Abortion Pill Reversal’s Helpline at 1-877-558-0333.

New Hope does not perform or refer for abortions, but if you are considering abortion, we can provide more information on procedure types and risks and help support you as you think through your options.
