Sexual Health

STIs, STDs, Pregnancy, and Your Health

Every year in the U.S. there are an estimated 20 million new STD infections and nearly half of all new STD cases occur in people ages 15 to 24. Anyone who is sexually active is at risk for contracting an STD. Condoms reduce the risk of contracting some STDs, but they do not provide full protection.

If you think you may be pregnant or are looking for an abortion, it's crucial that you get tested right away. Give us a call or come in to talk about STDs/STIs and the risks associated with both.

Our staff will provide medically-accurate information and referrals for testing and treatment.

Avoiding the Risks

Many people are misinformed and think that condoms eliminate the risk, and thus are unaware that they have an STD or STI.  Many people don't exhibit symptoms or are not aware that you can contract an STD/STI through other forms of sex outside of intercourse. The best way to avoid contracting STDs and STIs is to reserve sexual activity until marriage, and then remain faithful to your partner when married.

Need to talk to someone about your sexual health? All our services are free and confidential. We provide accurate information on the different types of sexually transmitted diseases and infections and how to reduce your risk.
